If it isn't a domain joined account but just a Microsoft work account, then you may be able to do so by adding a local account, but you need to make sure the local account is an admin account. What I am trying to do, is disconnect one account and add a different one. WIndows 10 has really locked down the accounts and in order to remove a domain account, you have to have domain access and admin permissions. The message is technically correct.The device is not on a domain, but this should not stop the account being removed. My aim is to remove a Work or School Account from the PC, so that a different Work or School account can be used.
